Your supervisor will inform you that a systematic review normally collates:
“all empirical evidence that fits pre-specified eligibility criteria to answer a specific research question” (Liberati, A., et al..,2009, p.22).
Your first publication is normally a systematic review.
So how can you do one using the tools contained in NVivo…
Simple …just use 9 steps we have designed for you.
After defining your research question follow these steps:
Define inclusion and exclusion criteria
Folders defined in ‘create a group’ endnote and only brought into Internals. Locate studies
Ncapture Lists of databases and vendor (e.g., MEDLINE/PubMed)
‘In, out, maybe’ internal folders
Maybe is…Sources searched for Gray literature.
In memos…. Other search techniques (e.g., scanning bibliographies of pertinent articles, contacting authors, hand-searching, etc.)
